Give the guy a break. He tried to get Rosy Palm and her sisters to come with him but they didn't want to be seen with him.

20. No worries. It's still as amusing today as it was then.
:)

Plus, it's pretty indicative of the size of their gatherings anyway.

13. talk about porta potty detail (o/t)
I went to see The Shining at Hollywood's Forever cementary
tonight (my first time and the last outdoor film shown there this season),
and stood in a long, but fast moving line at the porta potties - when I
got to the head of the line, I noticed a security/staff guy directing "traffic"
into open potties with his flashlight and urging users to please lock the
door behind them. It was an astounding example of orderliness and efficency.
Had to thank the guy on my way out.

Same thing as they directed one way traffic out of the cementary (there were
easily 2 thousand there tonight). My husband commented that the organizers
of this gig could show FEMA a few pointers. I think it says something about
us inhabitants, too.

14. are you sure that is from today? it looks like the same exact shot
from their last counter protest! Actually, it looks all too familiar with some of the protests/events I have tried to organize over the years in painfully apolitical markets.

15. Looks like last year's photo to me
Note the jackets, etc. No one was wearing jackets yesterday - attire was short sleeves and shorts.

I don't believe this picture is from yesterday's protest.

I think it's from a pro-war rally prior to George's invasion of Iraq.

22. That is an old picture........
but it's the first time I noticed the sound system in the background. Either all of these people are very hard of hearing or someone made a small error is the attendance estimate. There's twelve of them, couldn't they just form a semi-circle and whisper among themselves? Talk about over-kill, same way with the porta-pottys. I think each pro-war rally attendee had their own shithouse. Pitiful.
