On his emotional plea to "send Someone" to help ...Timmy was trying to make the case it was a local failure Vs a Federal failure and then he began nit picking details of his friends mother dying/drowning in the nursing home saying they were "factually incurrect".

Oh Man ... they guy eloquently RIPPED him.

The guy who broke down last week(?) on national TV over his friend's mom who was left to die in a nursing home. He accused FEMA and the Red Cross (among others) as being responsible and "committing murder".

Russert played the tape of that for him. He'd never seen it and almost broke down again.
Russert went on and on about "bloggerws"(?) who are (trying) to shift the blame to local and state officials.

Broussard just TOOK OFF on Russert.
(paraphrasing)
"You can sit up there in your air conditioned office, having a cup of coffee, where the toilets flush, etc., etc. Give me a good night's sleep and I'll debate anyone on national TV about who's responsible for this fiasco. Bring them on."

Russert tried to keep pushing it and got another tongue lashing.
He finally backed off, about 5 minutes too late.

Timmy is such a tool. Making certain that Broussard makes a statement that local and state gov gets lion's share of blame. Kept twisting it, Broussard wasn't biting.
Made Broussard suffer through the tape of his first appearance on MTP - had him in tears, said he had never seen it before and it took him back to a "bad place". Was very emotional. Ripped "bloggers" for their sick agenda (hear that Freepers, playing politics with a dead woman is sick - as in unhealthy, wrong, pathological) and ripping on details to further a political cause.

21. This should replay on MSNBC tonight.

I know certain quarters were implying the whole situation must be blamable on the locals rather than the feds simply because Broussard got his timeline messed up--everything happened days earlier than he originally described it as happening. What it appears he's saying is that that still doesn't matter--the feds were too late in sending help. And that it's terribly evil to try to make the whole story a lie simply because he was off a few days as to what happened.
