Timmy Russert being an ass but getting it handed to him on a plate

Remember the tearful outburst by Broussard a couple weeks back about a woman dying in a nursing home and no one came to save her and the other residents?

Well, Russert has Broussard back on the show this morning and is suppose to be questioning about the new damages in his parrish but Timmy has decided to question Broussard about his "story" about the nursing home saying there are "reports" that the woman died on Monday and not Friday like Broussard cried and told the NBC audience. First, he re-played the tape and Broussard started crying again and got upset, he had never seen the tape. Then...he got mad and attacked right back and made Timmy look like a two-bit shill. Told him that he had no reason to make that story up, that his staff had told him about the events, that the woman's son is a friend of his, etc. Then he went for jugular of Timmy's lily white throat. It was a thing of beauty.

Told him it was easy to attack someone sitting in an office that had running water, flushing toilets, safe and sound. Told him that is what the news people do today - attack people like they are witches and then try to burn them at the stake. Timmy tried to do a little face saving and attacked again (Timmy is a ver-r-r-ry slow learner)And Broussard didn't let up, didn't hold back and went after Timmy again. It is time for Russert to retire when he gets taken to task by a local offical on MTP. Priceless.

I hope someone captured this video, this was just too sweet not to view again!

16. If Russert has any say so, I'm betting it is being scrubbed from

the tapes, archives and employees memories as we speak. Broussard showed everything that is wrong with the MSM in a short five minute bit. He wiped the floor with Timmy and is must see TV on NBC.

That said, I'm pretty sure that even Timmy knows that it can't be removed from the tape. First, it would leave a large hole in the tape and transcript and there are millions of witnesses to the ass kicking. Second they know there are people who are TiVoing, taping, and capturing the show for posterity. An hour after the original interview with Broussard was aired it was already being re-played on the internet and other news shows. (I'm sure Timmy was quite pleased with that little piece of notoriety.) People will be talking about his show again on Monday morning - just not in a way that flatters Timmy.

That puts the rest of what we didn't see into perspective. That was a whole 11 minutes of Timmy showing what a jerk he is...and it only took Broussard about two sentences to make the case for it. The rest was icing on the cake.

Please Timmy, please bring him back on with some punk-a$$ed chump to debate. It would be an honest debate and the American people could see what a cabal of incompetence this administration and the Republican-led Congress have made.

Tim Russert trying to manipulate this amazing local leader into retracting his story from 3 weeks ago because some Freeper bloggers dissected the story of the building manager's mother who drowned in the nursing home -- and claimed she died on Monday not Friday as Broussard had claimed -- and since it was St. Rita's nursing home, whose owners are being indicted for negligent homicide -- didn't this take the blame off the feds and place it locally.

Broussard did not falter at all, but took the offensive and underscored "how sick" it is to be splitting hairs on this-- the facts that Broussard had expressed his staff had told him--and how sick it was to be debating what actual day Eva (this mother) had died when they had just buried her last week.

"You all sit here in Washington drinking your coffee, picking up your papers, turning on and off the switches to your electric lights..." and making all these statements about what's going on down there....

As vulnerable as he was 3 weeks ago, he was fierce with Tim - like a verbal slap in the face...shaming him into some perspective.

Tim's rap-up was: "Thanks to Mr. Broussard for putting things into perspective..."-- AMEN Tim -- and thank GOD not in the way YOU had hoped for!

We did not know the context as we had missed Broussard's earlier appearance. What we DID see was some guy opening a can of Whoop-ass on Timmy that was just brilliant. We had no idea what it was about, but we knew the Timmy deserved it, whatever it was.
