2. Garrison Keillor talks like W.C. Fields
Have you noticed he does that? "Insomnia, huh? Know a good cure for that, my boy. Get plenty of sleep."

Also, Keillor pronounces words like "therapy" not like "there" but like "thar" . He doesn't say "terror" he says "tare, like snare" tarruh

Know what I mean? He also gets a little sing-song thing, too.

3. if you liked that you should have heard it the week before
in his republican segment he used words like 'economy in the toilet' , '87 billion going to the former employer of the vice president' ' millions unemployed' I had the feeling he has been reading Buzz or DU. He is every bit a forthright as Howard Dean.

4. Even though I don't care for his shows, ....
he's right on about politics. He had a great piece on Sen Norm Coleman shortly after he won the election to the Senate in 2002. He did not pull any punches and was downright nasty in some parts, but he just told things as they are. He didn't NEED to embellish how awful Coleman is, Normie does a fine job of it himself.

6. he says he comes from a long line of
yellow dog democrats (would vote for a yellow dog before voting Republican).

I love Garrison's show, although I understand from a friend who used to work for him as an assistant producer that he's got an ego requiring its own zip code.

7. Well, there are people with big egos and small brains (a la Bush),
people with big egos and big brains (a la Garrison), and some with HUGE egos and tiny penises (Limbaugh, et al)
