Does anyone know?

I don't exactly see 'em talking about it on freerepublic.

EDIT: Just found this. Not exactly the 20,000 they were preparing for:

9. I noticed S King's face didn't light up when he scanned the crowd.
They must really be small. When Rep. Cynthia McKinney from GA, scanned the crowd yesterday halfway through her speech, I swear she did a double take then broke out in this huge grin. It was great. S. King should have come by yesterday if he wanted to see a Real Crowd.

15. Looks like they photoshopped a still cuz the people aren't moving...
when the camera is on the crowd. When the crowd is animated they are afraid to pan the view and reveal the pitiful crowd.

8. It's disgusting. All they're doing is name-calling folks.
It's an anti-Cindy Sheehan rally from the sounds of it.

10. Here is something interesting, and SIGNIFICANT
http://www.estripes.com/article.asp?section=104&article=31802

The above is a link to the STARS AND STRIPES, a newspaper read by most service personnel overseas, as it is all you can get on base, for the most part. Look at the TONE OF THE ARTICLE...

They poured off buses around the National Mall to gather and march, voicing opposition to Bush administration policies in Iraq and to work to bring the troops home. Organizers had predicted 100,000; the D.C. police chief was quoted as saying “they probably hit that.” By midafternoon they were estimating that 250,000 people had showed up....There were even soldiers in uniform.

A specialist from the 101st Airborne who asked not to be identified talked about his friends in Iraq, and questioned the reasons given for invading.

“In my opinion, it’s just This Bush went in there because of his dad, to settle a score. There’s no .

“But now we’re stuck in there. It’s not gonna be over for years. If we pull out, it’s gonna be worse.”

A sergeant with the 42nd Infantry Division nodded agreement....

This hardly sounds like the "united front" of happy troops spreading democracy that the GOP would have everyone believe. And the damn S/S is actually COVERING it.

The worm is turning....

13. The big "support the troops" rally is nothing but a bash Cindy rally
I tuned in just to see what it would be like. My first big laugh was when I saw the "majority of America" who Cindy doesn't speak for. There are about a 100 or so people there..... That has to be the most naive uninformed bunch of loonys I've ever seen. Then to have an Iraq veteran who lost BOTH LEGS to get up there and brag about how he's glad about what happened to him was beyond belief. I'll be DAMNED if I would want to serve and lose my legs in a war based on LIES.What the hell are these people on,anyway?

Melanie Morgan is a hate filled gas bag bitch. Good grief,is that all they can do is bash CINDY? That rally is a phucking joke and a flop. It sure is different than yesterday's demonstration, that's for sure.

HEY LURKING FREEPTARDS! YOU ARE NOT THE MAJORITY AND YOU DON'T SPEAK FOR AMERICA. WE ARE THE MAJORITY,SO FACE IT AND LIVE WITH IT!!!!!

19. I'm stunned
As you can see, I've only got three total posts here. And I didn't go to yesterday's rally, but watched it on television.

Imagine my shock when I turned on the tv today to see what, 500 people, today? That's HILARIOUS. It really made me turn a corner and realize that there are more Americans in the mainstream against this war than even I thought.

500 freepers. Whippee. That's the best they can do. Hope some of the blogs put up side-by-side pictures of those in attendance. 100,000 Peace activists and 500 War activists. Gives me hope for America!

I'm enjoying the freeper threads too. They're in massive denial even though you can tell they know there's far less of them than regular Americans who are sick of war.

22. So sad that these Gold Star Families have bought the Bush
administration baloney. I suppose that they have to believe they died for something important, but I think they will see over time how this war was totally elective and without moral support from the beginning.

One question for all of the mindless cheerleaders....how many will die before you lose the taste for this war? What's your threshold? 25,000? 50,000? 100,000? 500,000? C'mon, everyone has a number.
