When you go to a rally, who do you represent?

Yourself or the rally organizers? Who speaks for you? Must you agree with everything that is said?

I represent myself and no one speaks for me but myself. As with politicians, you are not going to agree with them 100% unless you are the politician.

For such supposedly open-minded, nuanced thinkers, we have an awful lot of people around here making absolutist, black-and-white arguments.

Wasn't it awesome. I remember my first time. I was really nervous, but then when you get swallowed up in a sea of like-minded people, you know you are a part of something bigger than yourself.

So, what spurred you to attend? Did you travel far? What were some of the highlights for you?

THUG adminiatration spurred me to attend. I came from Philadelphia so it wasnt too far. I enjoyed everything about the day. The march was my favorite part, just being engulfed by 300,000 other people WHO ALL THOUGHT THE SAME AS I DID was a wonderful, powerful feeling.

I represent the senior citizens and disabled people

I think a lot of people are counting on us to be out there in the streets. If you look at the recent poll numbers, we are the true silent majority.

We just have to stop being so silent and demand they listen to us.

but the crowd was smaller than I would have like to have seen. There were probably 100 max and that is being generous.

I'm still glad I went. It's a small part of a big picture. Every little bit helps the cause.
