1. Well, it is a rather pathetic showing.
Quite a dearth of attendees.

It almost serves to underscore the lack of pro-war Americans in our nation.

what am I saying, "almost"? It actually does.

5. I'm glad C-SPAN covered it
The contrasts between yesterday and today could not be more obvious.

First of all, the size of the crowds.

Secondly.... the speakers.

G Gordon Liddy? Need I say more?

3. Eh I'm actually glad they're giving them coverage
First off they're doing it I think because they can't be accused of being one-sided, secondly it's great to show their movement compared to ours :)

6. because somewhere along the line...
news orgs got the idea that it is easier/cheaper to merely give voice to both sides of a debate rather than an analysis of the situation.

this state of affairs is also why our "news" consists of merely parroting every utterance of this administration rather than an analysis of whether such utterances are true or not.

8. Reason one, this is America, Two CSPAN must stay neutral
and

Three, They did show us, The Anti-War people and groups, way back in 2002 when the whole country were itching for war and finding those WMD's and the Anti-War groups were pulling in similar size crowds.

12. The anti-war groups were large then, too.
In fact, it was (world-wide) the largest anti-war protest in history.

Corporate media were the ones itching for war.

BushCo finally pulled in the undecideds by scaring the crap out of them with lies about bogus threats.

15. Yes, but I remember seeing a few Anti-Iraq protests on CSPAN...
that looked exactly like that. I think these might have been in October 2002 or it might have been in December 2002-January 2003 when it was cold.

It did take quite a while for most people to shift gears from Anti-WTO/World Bank/IMF protests to Anti-Iraq War.

Anyone know how long CSPAN video is available for normally? Tried to search, but only found this weekend's protest.

10. That's the way a lot of the MSM is treating it.
On the face of it, really quite absurd.

13. They do the same thing...
...with the evolution vs creationism "debate". Even if the other side's position is based on non-fact, lies and fear-mongering, with a for/against ration of 9 to 1, we get "some people say" and "reasonable people disagree"...as if to convince us these extremists, fundies and other wingnuts are somehow reasonable, or entitled to being heard just because they are loud, arrogant bullies.

14. But I don't think they showed much of yesterday's march, did they?
Everytime I looked, I saw a live feed from New Orleans about the hurricanes.
