Bush Werkin' Hard = about 7 Hours of Briefings....in 3 days
The Post says "more than seven", but if it were up to 8 hours, wouldn't they have said so?

"Between his departure from the White House on Friday and his return Sunday afternoon, the president attended more than seven hours of briefings in four cities about Hurricane Rita."

1. On the weekend and all
Someone is going to have to PAY for all this exertion.

How much you wanna bet he's treating his staffers even worse than usual these days?

2. And everyone who "briefs" him knows why he's there...
... because he fucked up Katrina.

No way they were gettin any presidential visits until Bush fucked up Katrina.

3. I think those photo ops are going to backfire.
They just make people wonder where the fuck he was before Katrina, which was a much, much worse hurricane.

4. Rose, here's a little from his briefing today that I caught on C-Span.
(I posted it earlier..It was obvious he had "worked too HARD :D)

C-Span Bush looks like Hell...at the Military Briefing right now!

He was being briefed and looked like he wanted

to run out of the room. Alot of jaw movement and a couple of those "snifs" or "snorts" he doues. He was bored to tears...couldn't even sum up the presentation by one of the Ground Commanders when he proposed that we needed a National Coordination of all our Military Branches in a Disaster. Maybe the Chimp realized "cats out of the bag" and folks know he's done shit with all our billions for Homeland Security out of our tax dollars.

Then he met with Blanco and she looked like she didn't want to stand too close to him...bad odor maybe? She shook his hand and he gave her a half hearted pat and then he walked away to go to Air Force One.

I just kept thinking of how other Presidents would have acted in the same circumstance. They would have asked questions been more pro-active.

He really has aged and there's something definitely going on...drinking or something with that "jaw thing" and the "snorts."

5. Thanks- You'd think his handlers could have fed him some
questions that would have made him appear more engaged- something generic and in-depth. Guess they're all to too cowed to even offer help anymore.

6. It was strange....he sat their scowling while these young military seemed
to be trying to do a presentation. I would have been afraid of him the way he looked. This must be the way he is in the White House. The side we don't see.

I've always felt that he likes to be the "center of attention" and maybe that's why they keep him out on the road campaigning all the time.

It didn't look good but I imagine few folks saw it. He was on right after the Freeper Pro War Protest on C-Span.
