1. They'll have to blame Bush for all the spending
It runs counter to their basic argument.

2. They don't have to ...
They will just obliviously droll on with the BS they always droll on about ... I was watching CNN's Road to the White House tonight, and they had Mike Huckabee and some other R/Con Cornhusker type ...

SAME BS ... Tax reform, return to the wholesome values that made our country great packaged around how our country is headed downhill ...

It makes NO difference that this is the same stuff they have barked about for almost two decades, and they have had COMPLETE control of the government for four plus years ... They just will droll on about how bad it is, and how the country needs to get back to good old fashioned values ...

4. Spending and the border
The Freepers won't back any candidate who doesn't support the Minutemen or supports militarizing the border.

I was watching "Road to the White House" while Brownback was on and heard him tell his crowd that 80-90% of fetuses diagnosed with downs syndrome were aborted. I know these people are crazy but it really makes me wonder, even more, how gullible you have to be to support Brownback or anyone like him.

3. All of the Dem "hopefuls" are lining up to cheer on the shrub on
this damn war, and that will lose them the base. The R's will pretend to be compassionate and ready to "cut wasteful government spending" then they will yell "Gay marriage" "God" and "Guns" and the stupid sheeple will fall in line again. I can only conclude that both parties are working for the same boss and it ain't us.

5. Reps = total govt control for 4.5 yrs - THEY are completely
responsible for the current situations and cannot dodge the issue unless the dems LET them dodge. Maybe the dems will start acting like an opposition party soon and actually oppose, across the board, and create a shadow government, ministers without portfolio, like is done in parliamentary countries.

6. Immigration.

They'll come out against guest worker programs. It was in the Rove memo.

7. "I was the first one to vote against him?"
I somehow see lots of republicans showing how fast they discovered the errors of their ways.
