The more people that demonstrate.....
And then go home, turn on the TV, and discover that no one, NO ONE knows what is happening...

the more people that understand just how compromised the media are.

Fewer and fewer will believe anything they say.

1. Yes,yes and YES!!!
The media could turn out to be our greatest advocate,in that respect.Add to that all the talk about Rita not being bad, compared to all the people affected going,"Wait a minute, yes it was" and more and more people will wake up to the fact that we are being LIED TO.

3. That'd be a great idea to hang onto, except that the folks that
demonstrate have pretty much already figured all that out.

4. I think the point would be
That the Demonstrations allow people to reach beyond the people who attend the demonstration. In theory anyway.

The old days you planned your demonstration to get on tv and get yourmessage out - now, perhaps, the goal would be to use the dmonstration as a way around the media.

I could be wrong though.

5. That's always been the point...it's just a shame that the C-Span

coverage was pretty much the only Live Coverage out there...so few people outside the demostrations and places like DU were reached. Plus, the ones we are trying to reach who may have tuned into C-Span (admittedly a small number based on C-Span viewership) would have been turned off by the A.N.S.W.E.R. nonsense.

6. I don't think so.. I think a lot of protesters
are going to go home and be really surprised that THAT MANY people marching in DC could be completely ignored..

They may never have focused in on the problem in the media...

7. We need more marches with a clearer message.
Don't invite every left-wing cause up to the podium. Protest should be against the war, not against everything bad in the world.

8. AbsoLUTEly Right!

A scattershot approach will never get the message across to those we positively Must Reach...the ones who'd never leave their houses and march.

I'd love to see UFPJ acting without A.N.S.W.E.R. next time...maybe hook up with MoveOn.org.
