Bush plea for cash to rebuild Iraq raises $600
http://observer.guardian.co.uk/international/story/0,6903,1577750,00.html
An extraordinary appeal to Americans from the Bush administration for money to help pay for the reconstruction of Iraq has raised only $600 (£337)...

5. How about an "Iraqathon"
One of those 24-hour telethons to raise money? Prominent GOP entertainers could come on with their shticks and George could loosen the tie on his tux...

6. well what do they expect
we are at war in iraq, whatever the merits of that war or lack thereof may be, the plain fact is if we send $$$ there, rebuilding will help ppl who are our enemy

has any other nation in the history of the world ever been asked to give $$$ to the ppl they are invading & killing while the war is still going on?

it doesn't make sense, if the war was over & the usa had been assessed reparations, it would be a different matter, but what is the point of rebuilding while the bombing continues from both sides, giving $$$ is just giving money to halliburton & other defense contractors, i should think they already have enough
