and have to admit this isn't looking good. The general assumption was that Davis was gone and Arnold in.

26. I wouldn't touch a bet like that
There will be controversy.

There will be recounts.

There will be legal challenges.

7. Right Wing Radio in Seattle is extremely cocky of Arnold win
Spouted off some statistics "that he wouldn't share if this were an National Audience". I didn't catch, them but was saying recall wins and Arnold wins. I sure hope he's too cocky for his own good.

My only reponse:
Fine. Davis recalled? Bush is next.

12. Um, how do you see that happening?
There is no recall provision for presidents and, barring something worse than Watergate, there is no way that a Republican controlled HOR impeaches Bush and a Republican controlled Senate convicts him.

The only way that Bush is leaving the White House in the next couple of years is if he loses the 2004 election.

::::The only way that Bush is leaving the White House in the next couple of years is if he loses the 2004 election.::::

...there's always mental or physical breakdown, or the 'elected in a -0' jinx. Or not running, ala Johnson (not that that's remotely likely). Hey, I'm willing to take help, wherever it comes from.

19. Democrats need a spanking
It sickens me that the democrats put all their eggs in the recall basket, knowing that they could have found a legitimate candidate(sorry Cruz) who could have kicked Arnolds BUTT!!!!!!
Now, they are looking foolish and are giving California to Dubya on a silver platter and we wonder where the party is going. I know, no where fast!!!!

Cali is unmanageable......

Unlike the federal government it can't defecit spend...

There is an ancient Chinese proverb....

There are two ways to defeat your enemy.... You can dig a hole and wait for him to fall in or you can put him on top of a mountain and wait for him to fall off.....

Arnold's in for a fall.....

They should have run someone who could actually win.

NOt sure they are handing the state over to Bush in 2004 though

32. What it's coming down to
is we're going to have to run celebrities. I hate the thought, but this seems to be the way it's going. Funny how the Repugs are forever saying that celebrities should keep their mouths shut when it comes to politics, but it seem sthat every celebrity that's been elected to office has been a Repug.

Martin Sheen, anyone? Of course most live in California or New York.

36. Once again the Republicans bring America down lower
Edited on Tue Oct-07-03 06:12 PM by Democat
Like the impeachment, and the court appointing Bush in Florida, the California election theft by an anti-woman Hitler fan puppet will make America more of a laughing stock around the world and be another step on our way to being a has-been super power.

The right wing idiots who are so proud of America being "number one" are the same ones will insure that it doesn't stay that way very much longer.
