Jeeze Monica Crowley is actually making sense on MSNBC Connected
She's criticizing Bush's plan to militarize disaster response.

Said the role of the military is to fight foreign wars, and shouldn't have mixed roles.

We do need the assistance of the military in disasters, but they shouldn't beconme a domestic police force.

3. Why do you suppose people steal elections, Monica?
So they can practice "compassionate conservatism?" Or perhaps brutal fascism?

4. Most Congressional Reps and the Military are, too.

Yet another ill conceived, illegal attempt by BushCo to circumvent the constitution in order to help his fascist regime put American citizens under his thumb. It is going over like Bush on a Seqway, as well it should. Unfortunately, I doubt it has to do as much with these people realizing the legal and moral ramifications of reversing Posse Comitatus as it is the Congressional whores realizing there is no longer any security in siding with BushCo on anything controversial.

Spines don't grow overnight.

5. The Military doesn't want this either. This article shows that it isn't
necessary to change things - the Feds just need to do their damn job.

6. It's not supposed to be military, its supposed to to be National Guard.
If we stopped relying on them for foreign wars then they could do their job.

7. Call your congressmen. One aide did not believe me.
I just called. One of the aides thought I was lying about Bush wanting to do that. I told her to search google.

9. I don;t think it's the Pentagon's
At least not the ones who aren't political hacks.

They have their job to do. The National Guard and disaster relief agencies have a different job.

11. When I say the Pentagon, I am referring to the political hacks
they are the ones with the power not the ones who actually work at the Pentagon.

The same ones that lied the US into the illegal invasion and occupation of Iraq.
