First there was 9/11....
where out of fear, the Congress gave the President power to go to war without a declaration by Congress. Many here at DU referred to 9/11 as similar to Hitler's Reichstag fire.

So, now we have Katrina/Rita and talk of an 'automatic trigger' on the domestic front. With a majority in Congress of the same political party as the President, not to mention the WH ability to keep a tight leash on them.

Roberts will be confirmed in the next few days. Bush will be naming his second pick shortly. Everything is in place.

I honestly and sincerely am terrified of the days to come for this country.

1. I join you in your terror
It seems like so many, including good democrat/progressives, are sound asleep when it comes to much of this.

2. Posse Comitatus Act
will be GONE.

Our military - trained killers - will be free to roam the streets of the US. Yes, I am also terrified.

5. every ask why they came in so slowly to NO. Set up looting and

6. As well you should be. Mercenaries as well as the U.S. Military roaming
the streets of amerikan cities, with no control, nor accountability. The National Guard (our "well regulated militia") out of the country ostensibly doing the regular military's job.
They are simply setting the precedent for the manufactured crisis to come.
Welcome to the Usefull Serfs of Amerika. :banghead:

7. Tyranny shall be overcome!
you have to look back to see what our forefathers did about tyranny! Despite all 3 branches of government being bound up by the right today - there are ways and means. Bringing the country to a standstill.............before Bush does.
