Saudis warn region is on brink of war

Iraq is hurtling towards disintegration, and could drag the region into war, the Saudi Foreign Minister, Prince Saud al-Faisal, believes.

"There is no dynamic now pulling the nation together," he said on Thursday. "All the dynamics are pulling the country apart."

Prince Saud said he was so concerned that he was taking this message "to everyone who will listen" in the Bush Administration.

His remarks, some of the most pessimistic public comments on Iraq by a Middle East leader in recent months, were in stark contrast to the generally upbeat assessments offered by the White House and the Pentagon.

5. Well, bush has sort of walked away from that debacle.........
he's not "the war president" anymore, he's "the hurricane president" now. :eyes: He's not doing too well on that front either which makes one wonder, what kind of president will he become next? Maybe "the bowling president"? "The Jim Beam president"? "The bicycle riding president"? The possibilities are endless as long as they don't include, "The successful, popular, fair minded president"? That would REALLY be a stretch!

9. Has Pr. Saud read PNAC? Doesn't he know the Saudi's are on that list?
"There is no dynamic now pulling the nation together," he said on Thursday. "All the dynamics are pulling the country apart."

He's talking like he isn't aware that this was intentional!

No problemo. We're going to do a redux with Iran. You all are probably on the list for transformation as well. I think PNAC plans to ride America into the ground with as many wars as possible because the alternative is that they might be held accountable for the ones we've got.
