The next protest should be on the Media
Not DC necessarily. Until we give the mainstream media a wake up call, we're not going to get much accomplisted. We'll be simply ignored. We must do something to take back the media from the right wing.

3. Norman Soloman on the media...

Read his views...

High-profile Democrats and even some Republicans like to bemoan "mistakes" and bad planning and the absence of an "exit strategy." The prevailing version of Washington's debate over Iraq still amounts to disputes over how to proceed with the U.S. war effort in Iraq. Top officials and politicians in Washington won't change that. The journalists echoing them won't change that. The antiwar movement must.

So we have to keep on our politicians in order to get to the media. The media's just in it for the money...

4. Every town
every town, especially small towns, need to have some sort of demonstration. Why? Because local news will be more likely to report on what is going on--its hard to hide a protest in a town of 12,000 or a town of 300. I think that selected small towns should be used to teach the people the truth of what is going on, not just via demonstrations but by giving away DVDs about veteran's issues, the truth about WMDs, etc, etc.

5. That is something everybody could attend too
We can't all make DC, but we can all march on our own TV/Newspapers.

9. Yeah
Designate a town and let activists within a 100 mile radius know about it. Grab as many information papers and DVDs to pass out to people. Make sure people there have cameras, and create a webpage with photos or send photos with a peace message to everyone on your local email list.

6. i agree....
something like the Cindy vigils...but an information demonstration...with literature and speakers that navigate the facts, and reveal all the lies. The most important thing that we can do is educate ourselves and each other.
