TUCSON, Ariz. - Arizona center Shawntinice Polk, a three-time all-Pac-10 selection and two-time honorable mention all-American selection, collapsed at McKale Center on Monday and later died.

But I know this, death is a man word for concept, and so is man for that matter. Awareness is all I have, And I see change as being essential as life moves, as it does, and must, as I am witness. I can acknowledge change, for my very existence depends on it, but death, no I do not know it.

As a Stanford women's basketball fan, I remember many times when Polkey ate our lunch. She was a great player. The PAC-10 has lost a good one.
