I would like to say Thank You to the radical right!
Edited on Mon Sep-26-05 08:43 PM by Pushed To The Left
I would like to sincerely thank the religious right, extremist talk show hosts, and conservatives everywhere for making me the progressive I am today.

First, I would like to thank the right-wing talk show hosts. By listening to right-wing talkers like Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, Laura Ingraham, Tammy Bruce, and others like them, I discovered which ideology I wanted to see soundly defeated. Thank you for showing the true colors of conservatism after the Lawrence vs. Texas decision. I honestly thought most people, regardless of ideology, would applaud a decision that gives consenting adults a right to privacy and keeps government out of the bedroom. Thanks for showing me how wrong I was! Thank you for showing me how conservatives feel about civil rights. Who's the most evil group? Al Quaeda? No...Ku Klux Klan? Nope...it's the ACLU! Thanks to right wing radio, I now see how this group "overturns the will of the people" when the people vote to trample on the rights of others! Now, what good does the hard work of lying to and manipulating voters into voting against the Bill of Rights do when these ACLU libruls take it to the courtroom and spoil all the fun? If it weren't for right-wing radio, I might not be the monthly donor to the ACLU, PFAW and other civil liberties groups that I am today!

I would like to sincerely thank the religious right. If I hadn't heard you shamelessly using religion to preach a message of hate, divisiveness, bigotry, and fascism, I might not be as involved politically as I have become. Thank you! If it weren't for you trying to make America a Theocracy, I might not be going to Americans United meetings. I didn't used to feel as strongly about separation of church and state. Thanks to the religious right, I now realize how essential that separation is. Thanks again!

2. I also would like to thank the radical right, but I would especially
like to thank George Bush. Because of him and his administration I will never again totally trust the government, the politicians, the msm or so called journalists. I use to think that the government and politicians could not get away with anything too terrible because the newspapers and the journalists of this country would be on their trail making sure everyone knew what was going on. Oh how naive I was. It truly makes me sad to think how low they all have sunk. But they will never fully have my trust again and that is probably how it should be. It just took me until this administration to figure it out.
