Citizens protest Rove’s visit

The visit of Karl Rove, deputy chief of staff and President Bush’s senior adviser, was answered with a demonstration at the Fargo post office and another at the Main Avenue bridge Saturday.

Rove’s visit was part of a fundraiser for the Republican Party.

“We want to show (Rove) he’s not welcome here, and his ideas are out of touch with the state,” Gion said.

“We want people to come and see us and know that there is opposition to this war, and it’s very large … a majority that I don’t think you can ignore,” Wiese said.

At the UA, the Aggie House suppoed Bush. How can you farmers support a man who has screwed every farm bill since 2001? Republicans don't give a crap about you, and you still vote Red. There are some Blue people, but why does your state vote red?
