10. Huh?
> will only make us look like fools and crybabies.

The public had no problems with the crybabies in the repug party that didn't respect the last election so why should the party act differently in response to the Arnold threat? We need to get rid of that idiot as soon as possible. He won't get more votes that Davis.

19. Average citizen who pays little attention to politics
will punish the Democrats if they try a quick recall. The party leaders will fight any attempt to do it.

6. Methinks this is a baaaad idea.
I thought Dems were supposed to be above this sort of thing. If Arnie wins, I say let him have it. I'd love to see how he's going to pay down their deficit without raising taxes. He's going to have to cut services like crazy, which will make him extremely unpopular. This could sink the CA GOP.

7. Me too
I would be against the recall because then the repubes can point their finger and say we are crybabies and want a do-over. Much like what we have been saying about this current recall.

Californians know all about Arnold now. They are electing him and they will suffer the consequences.

Maybe people will be so fed up after a year of Arnold California will go democratic in the presidential election hands down.

Taxes must be raised. Same in many states. Sooner or later the bills must be paid.

11. Gray Davis was elected
by the majority of Ca. voters! This recall should never have happened. I don't CARE if it's a Ca. law....THIS is NOT what the law is on the books for. I say, if Arnold wins, recall his ass. I don't care if the Dems look like cry babies. This is a damn fiasco that never should have happened in the first place.

By the majority of CA voters.

I don't CARE if it's a Ca. law....THIS is NOT what the law is on the books for.

Please explain what YOU think is the purpose of the recall provision in Article II of the California Constitition. Here's the text for your reference:

http://www.leginfo.ca.gov/.const/.article_2

Think carefully about how you answer my question if you feel inclined to do so. Do you support a re-recall or not?

Unlike the Republicans, the Democratic party is NOT going to support a re-recall.

20. It's not going to be plain sailing for Arnie.
There's a huge budget problem, and nothing in his background to suggest that he's the man to solve it. And if he's really being
guided by Rove & Co. all the better, because look how they've
stuffed up nationally. For someone with an ego like his, the
worst punishment is to be seen publicly to fail. And I'm sure
he will. He has a very murky past as well, and who knows what
else will come to light. It will also be interesting to see if he does do a deal with Enron - that will prove that he's been bought and paid for, and I'm sure Californians won't appreciate it. This
election is a triumph of hype and media bias, but just as it's
slowly coming unravelled for Bush, I'm sure it will also for
Arnie. He'll dig his own grave.
