http://www.suntimes.com/output/news/cst-nws-churchsuit27.htmlAn off-duty prosecutor is being accused of assaulting an on-duty Oak Lawn police officer at a church event earlier this year.
Now, Assistant Cook County State's Attorney Martha Kross and the Archdiocese of Chicago face a lawsuit, recently filed by the officer, James Chresaidos.
Chresaidos was responding to a March fight at St. Linus Catholic School in the southwest suburb and was trying to separate Kross' husband from another man when Kross allegedly attacked the policeman.
"She's a big girl and she'd been drinking and jumped him -- just started attacking him," said Chresaidos' attorney, Richard Stavins. "He told her to get off or he'd arrest her and she replied, 'I'm an assistant state's attorney,' as if he couldn't do that."
