Are we going to allow Bush to pardon everyone in his criminal empire?
The Constitution grants the president (any president) the right to issue pardons. And those pardons are irrevocable. Put another way, you could rape and murder a nun on national TV, the president could pardon you, and there would be nothing anyone could do about it.

But what we're really talking about is thousands of unnecessary deaths due to a phony war, ignoring the plight of hurricane victims, and who knows how many from the outing of an undercover CIA agent.

Will Bush get to pardon all the members of his updated version of Murder Inc.? What's to stop him?

Are there any constitutional lawyers out there who can figure out a way to prevent this cabal of monsters from escaping justice? (Assuming, of course, that our government ever again falls into the hands of sane human beings.)

1. "We" don't have any say so...
Remember when Bush 41 pardoned most of the people who could testify against him in Iran/Contra?

2. It is really going to depend
on whether a Democratic controlled Senate and House happens in 2006 or not. If it happens, impeachment will prevent any of these hoodlums from ever pardoning anyone.

And that list, BTW, is extensive. Not only would he need to pardon every member of his cabinet, but also all his religious right buddies, members of the press corps, all of the former big wigs at Enron, Tyco, Carlyle Group, MCI, and a dozen others just like them.

3. If the Chimporer is indicted, why should he be able to pardon anyone?

4. A president can't be indicted, only impeached. Indictment can then follow.
