I did tune into the hearing with something of an open mind and sympathy for someone who was in a job he was untrained to do because of the political cronyism of the Administration.

However, after watching his performance in front of the committee, I am now of the opinion that Michael Brown is an arrogant, whiny asshole who deserves every bit of scorn and blame he gets.

Now ain't that something? Yup, Louisiana messed up so bad there was nothing he could do to help out. Thank goodness Texas had such competent people. People were able to evacuate the Houston area flawlessly. Would have helped tho had someone thought to early on direct the opposite traffic to be blocked off and not wait nearly 24 hours. I heard that it takes "time" to coordinate the closing of the ramps. You would think a few phone calls could have accomplished that in at least an hour.

Since only one or 2 Dems showed up he must be feeling good about this hearing, being of the same stripe and all.
