That's Jack Cafferty's question of the day.

6. If you knew that Katrina was such a dangerous storm the Thursday
or Friday before landfall, why did it take until the following Thursday/Friday to see significant reaction in New Orleans?

7. My email to Cafferty
What would I ask Brown?

First I would show him this document http://gov.louisiana.gov/Disaster%20Relief%20Request.pdf. Then I would ask him about the statement that he made to Rep Buyer this morning regarding the governor of LA and her omission of New Orleans parish among some others in that area when she declared a state of emergency in LA?

8. What type of person...
Edited on Tue Sep-27-05 02:28 PM by skypilot
...accepts a job with possible life and death implications, like the Director of FEMA, knowing the whole time that he has NO applicable experience? What possessed you to accept this position, Mr.Brown?

9. Mr. Brown, did you know that it wasn't Governor Blanco who excluded...
...parishes around New Orleans from her request, but it was Bush who did so?

Bush's 8/26 statement:

http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2005/08/20050827-1.html

Blanco's 8/28 letter requesting a disaster declaration:
