High turnout - fewer polling places...

I'm starting to get a feeling that this could get very very ugly.

According to MSNBC:

"Democratic officials said they were especially concerned about potential problems in Los Angeles County, where most voters were using a punch-card ballot. The county is also using 60 percent fewer polling sites than in last November’s general election."

I suspect many counties thought this would be a low-turnout election. It appears that turnout will exceed that of the last REAL gubernatorial election.

Everybody was warned - lawsuits were filed and dismissed saying the election couldn't be properly run in the time given. They may be proven right in the end.

This is gonna be a long night - look for last-minute injunctions and lawsuits filed as soon as tomorrow.

And, if the lines are still long, will they stay open? Or will it vary precinct-by-precinct?

4. There are two situations...

I was a poll worker a few years ago.

Case 1) Anybody IN line at 8:00 will be allowed to vote.
Case 2) If there are massive problems, a judge can issue an injunction to leave the polls open. This will, of course, be attacked as a liberal judge imposing his/her will. That will not be the case, of course, but it will be attacked.

I'm ready to bet that such an injunction will be sought. It may even be in the works right now.

14. Someone should bring suit if voters in line don't get chance to vote.

Maybe the entire election can be thrown out. Maybe they will riot. Maybe there will be antoher recall if Arnie is elected. Maybe there will be an earthquake to demonstrate God's anger. Maybe we live on another planet and only think it's earth. Maybe this is all a bad, bad dream and there will be a collective awakening.

7. I heard on KPCC today that a polling place over on Robertson was in a

small comuter store and that there were 4 elderly people manning the polls and asking for a drivers' license on everyone and the line was so long, several people gave up and left. Also in West LA people were given a polling place of NORTH PICO and it was at SOUTH PICO (Actual misprint on the polling location)

BTW, PFAW and ACLU are on it and if I am not mistaken, Jesse Jackson is still out here.

There are party lawyers going around to most of the polling places and checking in.

I have NEVER had to shown any ID when voting.

Is it allowed for poll workers to require it?

he was on the news and said they'll be in court tomorrow morning for voter disenfranchisement due to many polling places were closed..Sounds like something well planned! Coup.
