Edited on Tue Sep-27-05 04:40 PM by jackstraw45
Saw him get on his plane on the news after his latest photo op - back was DRENCHED.

Front dry...back drenched....

Can't find a photo yet but I thought I'd share my gross-out with y'all.

Edit:

These backs seem dry...why is Bush's DRENCHED?

2. I saw that too
Why is it always his back?

Does he wear a vest and if he does why isn't his front that drenched too?

Weird

5. If he's wearing a vest,
I'd suspect water doesn't leak through it. It didn't penetrate my roomie's bullet-proof vest, but that was a long time ago, and it wasn't hi-tech by current standards.

When I attended church in Baltimore in the summer, my back would be drenched if I sat for very long, or wore a jacket--it's the part that gets the least ventilation. Well, the part that gets the least ventilation that's publicly visible, let's just leave it at that. I hate dress jackets.

I'm surprised he wasn't drenched from head to toe. It's brutal outside today (and yesterday, and the day before). Pity the recovery workers outside in this weather.

6. The Crawford Coward wears a vest ALL the TIME

"Faulty Body Armor May Have Endangered Bush"

WASHINGTON (AP) - The Justice Department is investigating whether a company sold defective bulletproof vests for President Bush, federal agents and local police and then waited nearly two years to alert customers that the body armor could be unsafe.

A former research chief for Second Chance Body Armor Inc. is cooperating with the criminal investigation and testified this month that the Secret Service tested and bought some of the defective vests for the president and first lady Laura Bush. The Pentagon obtained the same armor for elite troops who guard generals, according to transcripts obtained by The Associated Press.

Many sales occurred well after Michigan-based Second Chance had been alerted that the Japanese-made Zylon synthetic material in the vests was degrading faster than expected from heat, light and moisture exposure, allowing bullets to potentially penetrate the armor, according to the former employee's testimony and other company documents.

Prosecutors have gathered documents showing that Second Chance was alerted as early as 1998 by the Japanese material maker, Toyobo Co., that there were problems with Zylon maintaining its protective properties under certain conditions.

14. Did Clinton and Gore wear bulletproof vests all the time?
I don't remember ever seeing this topic discussed?
Bu$h is universally hated. I can totally understand why he's suited up all the time. I had no idea Laura would need one too.

16. Coming back from Dallas to Houston on I-45 on Monday ...
the thermometer in my car was hitting between 104 and 103 degrees the entire way. Unbearable heat. When I had to get out of the car a couple of times, I was drenched with perspiration -- as was everyone else.

But why would only his back sweat? Seems like the chest and head area would perspire more.
