2. Hope she walks with blown up copies
of her letters to the President and other Federal officials. Some big lies were told today.

4. And isn't it interesting how he blamed the DEMOCRATIC governor
of Louisiana, but not the REPUBLICAN governor of Mississippi?

I only caught a little bit of the hearings, just what they showed on 360, but even that little bit was sickening!

5. Let them bray
Katrina is already in the public domain. All lies will be exposed.

Poor Tweety. He's picked up the dysfunctional state but he'd better pick up on the dysfunctional federal government.

6. Is Hayley Barbour going to testify too?
I certainly hope so. And all the Republican mayors from Mississippi.

8. She hasn't got too much to crow about ....
... Brown was aided and abetted by local folks. But she can't be humble either - Brown has set the bar too high on the arrogance ladder.

12. Exactly.
She stood there smiling, with Sen. Landrieu nodding in approval, alongside Brownie while FEMA officials told some of the most bald-faced lies I've ever heard. They actually said the water was receding in some parts of NOLA. In fact, it was rising!!!! Ted Koppel showed the video on his Katrina special.

It was sickening to watch. THAT'S why Nagin was so pissed off at the Feds AND at Blanco. He was on the ground (along with the Dept. mayor of NOLA) and knew that the water rapidly rising. He requested many things of Blanco and I think, to give her credit, she passed along those requests and was given promises. Promises we know were not kept.

9. Brownie's testimony was cleared by the WH as per NBC
Edited on Tue Sep-27-05 06:47 PM by kingofalldems
They knew what he was going to say---Dems bad, GOP good. That's why he is still at FEMA, so the WH can control his message.

11. Probably won't happen
The Democrats are largely not participating in these whitewash hearings, yet I heard three or four different media outlets say that Brown was "grilled" and that the committee was really tough on him. I wonder what they'll say after tomorrow when they see a real grilling. Blanco had better be ready.
