1. Compare to Athens, America!
Read up on your Greek history, America! In 5th century bcc Athens lost its empire and its democracy (the first in world history, albeit flawed). It is in a book entitled, The History of the Peloponnesian War" by Thucydides.

Thucydides lived through this disaster and wrote down its history for mankind to see. We MUST pay attention!
