FEMA worked great in Mississippi says HeckuvaJob Brownie. Don't think so.

A few highlights from Brownie's testimony today:

Brownie says: Mississippi did a great job of evacuating.

Uh huh. 219 people were killed in Mississippi, which is an outrageous number being overshadowed by the tragedy in New Orleans.

Plus, I don't believe Mississippi tried to evacuate a city anywhere near as large as New Orleans.

Brownie says: FEMA's approach worked in Mississippi & Alabama.

Hmm. Even good ole Republican reporter Joe Scarborough was screaming that FEMA was nowhere to be seen for DAYS in Biloxi and other parts of Mississippi. Fiasco was a smaller scale copy of Louisisana: no food, water, supplies. Bodies lying around for days not being tended to.

Sorry, Brownie, no gold stars for FEMA in Mississipi.

1. May be wrong but.
Aren't there still palaces in Mississippi that they haven't got to?....They are doing there best to rewrite history again.

2. FEMA did not do squat before the hurricane hit and they showed up late
after.

The evacuations were done by state and city governments. My city evacuated its own people without any outside help.

3. Yeah, I don't think MS is returning the compliment.
Aside from the GOP circle jerk, Mississippians are stating that they feel completely forgotten.

Brown is basically repeating the same error he made before: see no evil, hear no evil.

4. Ask the people in MS, not Haley or the other Bush butt lickers.
many people are still looking for help that never came.

5. Ask the Mayor of Petal, MS
He was on NPR 2 weeks after the hurricane and said, not only had he seen no one from FEMA, but he had not been able to communicate with them at all. There was an 800 # that would just hang up on them.
