Quick someone show me how to post pictures on DU from a mac!

I have protest pictures to share.

1. Go here:

http://www.photobucket.com

Sign up for it and upload your pictures there. Once you upload it, it will show you a web address (beginning with http://) for the picture. Just copy and paste that into the DU post

2. If you own some webspace you can send them there, otherwise

you can use any of a bunch of free hosting sites. photobucket is a popular one.

3. I think you have to upload to a host first.

If you're saying what I think you're saying, there's no way to link directly to your Mac.

Although you can link to photos on your Mac,
PhotoBucket is much easier!

5. Are your pictures scanned in and on the desktop?

…or someplace where you can find them easily when you're ready to upload them?

If yes, you do need photobucket.com or 1asphost.com or another free webhosting site.

Photobucket will save the pic with three different tags, and as a helpful poster suggested, just cut and paste the link. I usually use the one that starts with IMG for posting on the DU.

6. Try opening pic in new window

copy the address

paste address into DU

Has worked for me and simpler mthan photo bucket which also works.

7. If the pic is already on the web

you can usually just drag it from one window to the other.
