Interesting and odd inside info

Just got back from a meeting with a group of women. The husband of one of the women works in the White House. She won't say what his function in the WH is, but she confided that the email he got Friday about what to look out for over the weekend included the names of all the groups coming to DC but never said that the theme of the weekend was anti-war. He found that odd.

Are they so removed from reality that they shield even themselves? Was that why there was so little police presence? What does this mean?

On another but related note, another of the women who is a psychotherapist said that each patient she's seen this week has talked about whether or not they took part in the protest and how they felt about it.

War vs anti-war appears to be emotionally important to the populace but not to the people in power.

7. They weren't asking the therapist about the war.

They brought up issues that were important to them. I know this therapist very well. She said that each patient during his/her session brought up of their own volition the protest and their feelings about why they did or didn't go and their feelings about it. I think the information reveals the importance of the protest to ordinary people(like us)as opposed to the people working in the White House.

Seriously, they had to have him out of the city this weekend. I'll bet that his TV watching was censored and he probably hasn't a clue as to the size of the crowds. I don't think his psyche could handle such a visible display of the people's hatred for him and his policies.

Hell, maybe Rove showed him the Peace Rally pics and said, "we had a great turnout Sunday, George."

4. First thought I had

is, if they can try to control the masses with the propaganda, diversions and omission of news, imagine how effectively they can try to control the people who work in the White House who are closer to their lair.

If they didn't we would have fair elections and clean water and unadulterated food. And so much more.

9. The other women at this meeting commented that

there was so little information in the print media about the protest before it happened. Living in the DC area and having attended many such events in the past they had looked in the Washing Post for information about the protest to know where to go, etc and found the information lacking. So they were shocked to find the numbers of people that did go. The power of the internet at work me thinks. Things were so jammed up in DC because of the protest, it was noticed by everyone here. So despite the information control by the media, people were here.

The other comment that was made was that the movement needs to continue. There needs to be an even bigger protest soon when the war doesn't end again.

8. Yes, it felt very creepy that the staff within the White House

were not informed about what was going on. Of course, this particular man knew about the protest because apparently he kept himself informed, but did note to himself that his "superiors" felt it unnecessary to inform them or did not know. Very creepy

there weren't many police at the march? Here we have scads of undercovers running all over the place.

10. The chief of police was there.

That was interesting but there wasn't a significant police presence except of course for the sharpshooters positioned on top of the White House. And also at one point in front of some building that was being built. They had very long sticks in their hands and guns in their belt. Some older women taunted them. That was funny.
