If you missed it - Brownie hearing on C-SPAN 1 now
Already started when I turned it on, but it's close to the beginning all the same.

Enjoy!

1. Drownie. It's Drownie.
He's as guilty as his bosses.

4. Thanks for the heads up. This guy Taylor just said, something
like how much money was HLS given to abuse (low), corrected (loud) use. Listen closely, if anyone taped.

6. Thanks, I know I heard that! Unfortunately most Americans aren't
that perceptive. It was subliminal at least, and I think a cue to Drownie.

8. I think there was another clue to him later in the hearing
not sure who, but someone asked the question "if the president were watching this ..." Others thought it meant something else today but I took it to mean that he needed to watch what he was saying.

7. Brown just said something very important about flood insurance
mitigation - and changing the rules to not "pay off" if people are going to rebuild in a flood zone.

I took that to mean that they would write into the policy rider that they would pay for your flooding if you would agree to NOT rebuild in the same area.

Just how could this effect all those that had this insurance in that area - including Florida and Texas.

Things that make you go hummmmmmmmm.

9. Here is the problem. The west and east coast are on fault lines
should we not support them. The south coast is water issued should we not support them. The middle of the country is tornado and flood affected should we not support them. NYC, LA and DC are terrorist targets should we not support them. I am sure others could name more, were the hell should Americans live that is not imperiled?

I live in NJ near Philadelphia, we had an oh so rear tornado touch down not far from my house (within 15 yrs. not much damage if any, but) where should I move?

10. Snow storms, forest fires, mud slides
and the other issues you named too. The midwest is open for drought, anywhere that has flowing water can flood (and we can't live without a good water source .. yes Vegas, I'm looking at you).

There is no place that you are safe from mother nature and her wrath. Should we all eventually end up in the midwest, smack in the middle of the country just to try to avoid these happenings?

You are absolutely correct. There is no place to be that is not subject to some problem.

11. Okay GF. how do we change the GOP from trying to keep us
divided on this? They are, and we have to bring it home because we have very few, in politics that want to deal in truth and justice!

I did forget to mention the Boston, terrorist connection. If things had gone bad, Boston could've had a few suicidal extremists to deal with too.

14. I am not sure. I live just south of Boston and I know
if the terrorists wanted to take us out, there are plenty of ways to do it up here. Evacuating Boston is not a pretty sight on a regular day of commuting. Can't imagine how we would do it under attack.

The land values here are astronomical. People here would not surrender their property to the government, natural disaster, man made disaster or any other circumstances.

There is no where to go and no where to hide. Standing our ground here or California or New York or New Orleans or Miami ... that<'s the best we can do I think. [br />
No is always an option if you have the cuorage of your convictions. The infrastructer of this country was not build by saying I can't to anything, right?

12. The nerve of him stating his ONLY mistake was not realizing that
louisiana was dysfunctional. This more than validates the Democratic Boycott.

15. and cry because they were glad that he took his toys and went home
and ticked that he brought his sorry ass back on our payroll.

He really does think he did nothing wrong. He wants to blame it on everyone ... those above him as well as those below him.

16. Oh yeah, I forgot about that too. What about defining what his
role as " coordinator" was? He gets paid a lot if all he has to do is say," You should have a Mandatory evacuation" :eyes:
