I'm sorta pissed that this thing was started, but that's because I knew it would be used as a tool to say liberal/progressive voices had no audience. Hearing how the rw propaganda machine has pushed the issue drove me to contribute. It's the same as when O'Liely dissed the ACLU. It pissed me off and I contributed. I don't have the money but I felt I had to send a message. The more you condemn what I believe in, the harder I'll fight to defend it.

This is the moment. The wave is breaking, do you stand up or take a dive?

Air America and the other progressive voices speak for us. How are you supporting them? Our little community is self supporting. We do what we can for benburch, Guy James, Shelby LePre. They provide a voice of sanity that helps us survive, but they are flying under the radar for mainstream America. Air America is the voice that could be heard by Joe & Jane America. Don't be content with things as they are, if AAR needs some financial help to spread the word, I don't know why we who want to hear the message shouldn't help support it by any means available.

If you can't put up the money to help the cause, you could do something more important. Contact your local radio stations and tell them what you'd like to hear.

2. I must make my own "Liberal Confessional" statement-

I went ballistic on another thread about AAR's "sponsorship program". Stating that what AAR needed to do was hire a new sales team unless they go non-profit like NPR and go commercial-free. I hate commercial radio and teevee. Got a little guff for my post from fellow DUers about it, too.

I now feel that they were right. AAR needs our support, regardless of my anti-commercial fervor. And besides- I would be proud to help fight the RW Propaganda Machine.

As penance, I promise to become an Air America Associate!
