Isn't it George Bush's religion
that makes God responsible for everything that happens? Since Bush thinks he IS God, doesn't that automatically make him responsible for everything that is going on in the world?

2. Not true
I mean that's a big factor in his religion, but I do think he is a genuine believer in something. I think he believes in God as a sort of Get out of Jail Free Card. he was a sinner and an alcoholic and God saved him.

But rather than saying "Damn, I need to be careful considering how far I've fallen." his faith is more "Thank God that I am saved and don't have to worry about anything anymore." It's not exactly a humbling faith.

So the money factors into it - he expects that Good people like himself and cheney and his oil buddies are going to be rewarded by God for doing good works (like invading Iraq, say). If he and his friends "work" hard and manipulate the system well, that's just a reflection of God's will that they succeed.

3. I respectfully disagree
I think George Bush's war is, in part, a religious crusade against all the heathens.

7. From my watching of them
I don't think so. I think it's all political. In my opionion Bush is as much a Christian as I am an athiest.

10. Thank you,
He has only aligned himself with religion to get the fundamentalist Christan's and preacher to support him.

I can't name one public act of Christianity performed by bu$h.

12. I agree. I don't think Bush believes in very much of anything.
He is like his father in that regard. However, even his father wasn't willing to be this much of a phony. Sure, H.W. did the whole fake Texas thing with the worst Texas accent I have ever heard, but shrub takes it a step further. At the end of the day, all he cares about, like any good old line Republican, is money and lots of it.

5. Correction
God talks to Bush like we do each other. You'd think his followers would put two and two together.

6. Why is it when everybody else talks to God
they are usually put on schizophrenic meds or relegated to the mental ward - but when a pResident (SUPPOSEDLY) does it - it's the gospel! Like God only speaks to Popes & Leaders. DUH!

8. I think it's because
he claims to be religious. I remember earlier this year there was this guy my age in my town who killed his parents and chopped up their bodies and at his trial he claimed God told him to do it cause his parents were being mean to him. :eyes: I don't have a problem with president's praying or having religion but I worry when they start sounding like this kid in my town claiming God told him to kill people.
