DeGuerin is about the biggest hired gun defense attorney in Texas. If you are guilty and can afford it -- you hire Dick DeGuerin. He's the heir to the Racehorse Haynes and Percy Foreman mantle among Texas defense attornies.

Haynes and Foreman only represented the guilty - and got them off because of their political connections. DeGuerin has the same reputation.

DeGuerin also represented Kay Bailey Hutchison in 1993-94 when Earle indicted her for malfeasance when she was State Treasurer in Texas. Bailey was using her state-paid staff to do personal chores and run errands for her. Earle eventually dropped the case.
