Remember this. A GRAND JURY indicted DeLay. Ronnie Earl did not.
Ronnie Earl presented the charges. A grand jury consisting of people of both parties indicted DeLay.

Does anyone know how many people were seated on this Grand Jury? I am sure people of both parties sit on it.

5. In that case, using Delays redistricting standards
that would amount to 11 Republicans, and 1 Democrat.

Very important point. It is far more damaging to Delay than he wants the public to realize.

11. Yes, a partisan vengeful democratic godless Grand Jury.
soon to be followed, no doubt, by a partisan vengeful judge and biased, hateful petit jury and a democratically inspired prison term.

IN THE NAME AND BY AUTHORITY OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
THE GRAND JURY OF THE COUNTY OF TRAVIS, STATE OF TEXAS, duly selected, organized, sworn, and charged as such at the April term, A.D., 2005, of the 147th Judicial District Court of said county, in said court at said term, upon their oaths do present that on or about the thirteenth day of September, A.D., 2002, in the County of Travis and State of Texas,

JOHN DOMINICK COLYANDRO,

THOMAS DALE DELAY,
the defendants herein, with the intent that a felony be committed, did enter into an agreement with one or more of each other or with a general purpose political committee known as Texans for a Republican Majority PAC that one or more of them would engage in conduct that would constitute the offense of knowingly making a political contribution in violation of Subchapter D of Chapter 253 of the Texas Election Code....

24. Yes, good point, but it doesn't matter what their talking points are
The GOP can (and will) talk until they're blue in the face about how unfair Ronnie Earl is and so on.

Let them explain it to the jury that will be seated to hear the charges against Tom DeLay.

So we're kind of at one of those "who cares what you think" moments. It doesn't matter now. It's up to a judge and a jury.

but only people that follow politics closely know that Ken Starr is a movement conservative closely allied with the NeoCon powerbase?
