David Brooks Says Bush & DeLay Were Never Close! Ha Ha Ha! >>>
Edited on Wed Sep-28-05 05:59 PM by Stephanie

They are already throwing DeLay overboard! David Brooks said, well first of all, they were never close. Bush's statement of support was meaningless - that's just the protocol when someone gets indicted. (my paraphrase) And anyway, DeLay is a bad leader.

LOL LOL LOL - BushCO sent David Brooks out to toss DeLay overboard!

(heard on NPR - All Things Considered)

I wish News Hour would dump him. And where's Mark Shields? Did he just get tired of the lies?

You better be loyal to them, but they don't need to be loyal to you.

They're worse then the mafia! At least with them you know what you're getting yourself into. With Bush you don't. Maybe Tommy boy can spill some beans on things he knows to get revenge.

Brooks Has Been Throwing Bush Overboard Since NOLA!
He has flipflopped.

Here's a quote that stuck in my mind the other day from Meet The Press:

"Sometimes in my dark moments, I think Bush is the Manchurian candidate, programmed to discredit everything I believe in."

I was laughing my ass off at that one!

I looked forward to Friday nights on the Newshour when he and Mark Shields would have their civilized little takes on the week's events.

Then at the end of last year's Presidential campaign, in his column, he regurgitated a blatant lie that was circulating about something Kerry was perported to have said. I was pissed; I emailed him (as I'm sure many others did) and asked him to print a retraction.

And he did.

More than a week later. After the goddamned election.

Fuck Brooks.

How funny. I remember when this all first began at first the White House made that claim and then a few days later flipflopped and Bush said he considered Tommy a friend and they would stand by him. Oops! So much for the whole party unity thing. When someone is in trouble run away!

He almost made a boo boo when he said that the party's agenda was bigger than... I thought he was about to say Tommy but he cut the sentence and continued. I'd love to hear that again.

30. Amazing how many of Bush's closest friends he really doesn't know well
Ken Lay, Tom Delay, Chalabi, James Bath, the head of SCI, his daughters (he never went to their trials or their graduations, though he did make some calls to get them released when they were arrested for shoplifting as minors.)

33. Remember December 2000 when Jenna had appendix surgery?
And Bush went on vacation to Florida anyway. Went golfing or fishing or something while his teenage daughter was in the hospital having major surgery. Laura stayed behind with her. George went on VACATION.

40. Yeah, makes me wonder who is avoiding whom.
There is something dysfunctional there. There is some reason the father consciously stays away from the daughters. One wonders if it is their wish, if something in their background was horrible enough to make them avoid him. Battery, abuse, simple lack of attention. Something much darker. Who knows? Alcoholic fathers aren't usually known for being good, attentive fathers.

and I am dumbfounded that he has cornered the market - he represents the right on PBS, NPR, and the NY Times! He's a Weekly Standard/Bill Kristol neo-con and he has every pulpit to hawk their crap - WHY?

38. Yes, he is one of the official right wing gasbags and that
a sign of how weak their arguments really are. If you force yourself
to read his stuff every week you can see how he has no grip on
reality and no ability to venture outside the right wing thought
process.

I hate the NY Times for giving him a slot on their editorial pages.
In the interest of fairness they have diminished their own intellectual standing.
