Woman Arrested For House Filled With Animals, Feces
I don't want to hear any shit about how she is the victim, and "Oh, oh! She needs help and counseling..." Bullshit! This old bag belongs in jail for a long time.

DELTONA, Fla. -- Animal control officers in Volusia County cleaned out a house Wednesday that was packed with cats, dogs and animal feces. The homeowner of the house on 9th Street in Deltona was arrested.

Neighbors who complained about the smell tipped off investigators. Animal control officers had to wear respirators to go into the house to avoid being overcome by the odor.

Officers said nearly 50 cats were found in cages that were stacked on top of each other. The cages were lined with inches of feces.

In some cases, the animals' fur was so matted with feces that officers could not tell if it was a cat or a dog until they cleaned it. Most of the animals were sick and many won't survive.

2. It's very likely she's mentally ill
In that case I think it is sad, and she does need some help. I'm not arguing with the arrest, but now that the problem has been discovered she needs to be evaluated and treated accordingly.

14. I agree, she obviously has some type of mental illness
Our mentally ill deserve treatment, not just harsh punishment for these types of crimes.

11. I agree with you
She's mental, and definitely deserves to be examined and, if found mentally incompetent, should not be treated as a criminal.

Poor kitties and doggies... *sigh*... I hate reading stuff like this....

16. Mentally ill? So freaking what?
Mentally ill get arrested, convicted, and thrown in jail all the freaking time.
If she had 50 human children sitting in cages, would you all screaming she needs treatment or what?
It's case she had cats and dogs in there "oh, poor thing is so sick and needs treatment".

20. If she were truly mentally ill, YES
Just as I believe the texas mother who drowned her children belongs in an institution and not prison.

I am truly amazed, day in and day out, by the lack of compassion and understanding that some people have.

It's so damn Dr. Phil.

21. well, we've established that...
1) you are against treatment as opposed to punishment for the mentally ill
2) your standard for "right and wrong" is the frequency that an act occurs

got anything else?

10. She needs help and counseling.
She obviously has issues with mental health, and was most likely victimized by republican sodomites.

17. Sounds like my aunt in Detroit. She let her house fill with animal waste.
She never maintained the place and it has actually been condemned by the government.

victim here. Rather than put her in jail, she really needs help and counseling.
