Longwang expected to slam China Saturday
O.K., Who's the wise guy? Who is responsible for the Northern Pacific Typhoon names, because the snicker factor for this one very high.

Yes, the current Cat.4 Typhoon making a beeline for the Eastern China Coast is named "Longwang." Is that even a real name? If so, from what country?

Here's a link to proof: <http://tsr.mssl.ucl.ac.uk/tracker/dynamic/200519W.html >

O.K., If YOU had to write the Headline, what would you write?

5. It's Mandarin Chinese for "Dragon King"
and its pronunciation is closer to "lung hwong" than it is to the anglicized "long wang".

You can thank the British for that.

7. They did do a bunch of strange things with names, like Burma
Why did they rename so many places? Just to piss off the local population?
