Demand An Ethics Investigation of Tom Delay
So, let's see if the Constitution still works. And, have a little fun heaping trouble on big, bad, Tom Delay.

For the last five years or so, Republican members of the House Ethics Committee have refused to investigate Tom 'The Hammer' Delay. They have tied the hands of their Democratic counterparts on the committee, they have changed the rules to keep the light of truth from shining on their fellow Republican crooks and liars in Congress, and they have all but ensured that for Republicans in the House of Representatives, crime pays.

Republicans are so very quick to play the morals card, citing their superiority as members of the 'party of God'. Well, fine. Let's see them put their proclaimed moral superiority to the test and impeach one of their own, their leader, felony-indicted Tom Delay.

In the handbill linked below are the names, party affiliation, website addresses, and phone numbers of the House Ethics Committee members. I urge each of you to contact these House members and demand they immediately investigate Tom Delay. He has been accused of a crime, and that should be more than enough to start an impeachment of The Hammer.

Here's the handbill: http://www.justicefornone.com/handbills/delay6.htm

And as an added bonus, a couple other handbills on the subject of Delay's indictment:

3. Fix it?
I'm not sure what you mean. The Ethics Committee can still investigate - they just changed the rules so that Democrats could not initiate investigations, or have any effectiveness as members of the Committee - none of which stand in Republican's way if they choose to investigate Delay.

If we demand an investigation, of a Congressman who has been indicted on felony charges by a grand jury, and the Republican dominated Ethics Committee refuses to investigate THAT, or they just whitewash any investigation they carry out, either scenario will serve as ammunition in 2006 to get these crooks out of Congress. And if they actually investigate and impeach him, all the better.

4. I thought the Democrats were refusing
to sit. They felt it was a sham, I didn't realize that had been settled yet.
