2. That caller was also out of his mind
Did you hear him gasping in air between his rants? He wasn't a progressive - he was nuts.

4. I'm sorry that's so hysterical I busted up laughing!
I mean, seriously. That's right up there with that guy who said that if the Superdome was filled with white people, it would have been a bastion of peace and tranquility.

3. Pro-Choice, as they always get it wrong. No one is pro-abotrtion....

Unless, it's a person of color, than I'm not so sure the republicans aren't? A racist statement, seems the most logical reason for the call. He's a good pigman (Limbaugh) sheep.

Because of "Welfare" Hmmm...Never mind about outragous republican corporate "Welfare", which is the same as their huge, (corporate "subsidies").

6. Following the logic, he's pro-bush since bush has given us more abortions.
The problem is, bush has given us more people on welfare too since the collapse of America's middle class.

7. Of course, obviously . . .
. . . the numbers of those on welfare roles are not the only population that are affected by incidents of abortion - not even the majority, I'll wager.

But as Levitt's "Freakonomics" shows, the availability of abortion does seem to have a positive effect on levels of street crime. Indeed, the reasoning of whatever right wing asshole originally made this comment is probably pretty sound, this time.

Reproductive freedom has benefits to society at large - I think that's clear.

Too bad Bush, Roberts, Scalia, Thomas et al are so committed to ending it. We can expect more broke-ass, desperate people to be having prison-bound, unwanted children soon, when they overturn Roe V. Wade, which is going to happen, by the way, I'm now convinced.

10. That guy had mush for brains
He tried about ten different ways, using twisted logic fallacy, to make his point, but Bernie has the strongest logic fallacy meter in the business and ran him in circles. Funny, that jerk didn't even know he got slammed ten ways to Tuesday!

14. You're right.
It's almost hardwired into their psyche.

Repetition will do that. It's one of the great hallmarks of propaganda.

13. Sounds like something that my Right Wing Libertarian
relatives would say in a heartbeat.

Do all the drugs you want and have abortions galore, but don't expect ME (right wing libertarian) to pay for it.

Largely for the same sort of reason.

16. I get a kick out of the righties who say "Look at all the revenue lost
from the millions of aborted people who could have been employed" - whilst forgetting that these same righties would be complaining about the swelling of the ranks of the low-income families with tons of kids collecting welfare . . .

Their arguments befuddle me. Aren't all the low-income families the ones who are having all the kids to become welfare queens? So, all those abortions are being done by the people who have the money . . . since the money to pay for abortions is constantly being written out of the budgets (at least, attempted) . . .

17. Some days, I think this country ought to be renamed
the United States of Assholes.

Where do these people live during the day? Under a rock? Do they need sunlight first just to be able to pick up the phone? Or are they perpetual ghouls who require no light to function?

Man, I seem to have some anger issues today. It is reflecting in all my posts so far. I better take a time out.

19. Did you ever think of it in another way??
What the hell----if an idiot like this can convince a bunch of knuckledraggers that abortion should be kept on the books, maybe they would start screaming that Roe v. Wade should remain untouched!!!! Halfwits like these could be a blessing in disguise. Just think of how confused they could get their fellow wingers who just love to hate. If they thought they were eliminating "welfare" people for Jesus, they might just be out there walking the NOW lines, etc.!! You can't get these morons to think using intelligence, facts, reasoning, etc. Maybe a good old fashion dose of mega ignorance is the cure. I can just see so many of their heads spinning and spinning and just not knowing now what to think. Maybe they should write Rush and let him clear it up for them.........
