Has Scarborough seen 'The Light?'
Ever since day one of Katrina, he's been slamming his Repuke cronies! Again tonight he skewered a Christofascist and several other 'R's. Yeah, he still thinks the Delay thing is 'politically' motivated. Duh, so was the CRIME!!!

But I sense a BIG change in Joe.

1. I don't think so
Raitings. He's the lowest rated republican show on MSNBC. He reads the polls.

2. He was a Gingrich Republican
No, he didn't change. He's trying to get higher ratings since the only things who watch his show are five toothless inbreds and a jackass named Chuck.

Kind of like Boortz.

4. He was playing to us during the presidential debates.
It's just a game. He's a piece of garbage.

5. I don't trust somebody who I strongly suspect
of having been heavily involved in a murder and subsequent coverup. I do confess however that I am rarely able to make myself watch him, so I may not be the best judge.

6. I certainly agree with that. I've NEVER been satisfied with the answers
He's obviously a media whore, and I'm glad to get the response to this post!

He must be in some DEEP ratings trouble, 'cause he's really selling his soul!

Screw 'im!

9. Could be the "rats leaving the sinking ship" phenomenon?
If they sense that Bushco is going down, they'll want to disassociate from it, especially when you consider how unprincipled and opportunistic they are. Loyalty for them can only be expected to last for as long as they percieve it as expedient.

Even if he were to become totally ant-Bush, I don't think it would have much real meaning other than expedience.

8. Thank you. Scarmurderer is a thug for life.
Nothing will change that. Just because he'll do anything for a dollar doesn't mean he's on our side. He'll never be on our side.

7. Temporarily, like that movie with DiNero and Robin Williams...he' a slug
again...was calling Ronnie Earle a "hayseed" over and over, shouting it, while interviewing Drier and Pat Buchanan.

It was disgusting. That's a nasty term and it's also completely wrong. Austin is a major city, center of technology and innovation and an all around cool place.

Scarborough saw the light but ran from it. He's a turkey.

13. He's like a conservative mirror of Chris Matthews
Matthews background is a moderate Democrat, but now that he is a "journalist" he beats up on Democrats and liberals to overcompensate, and to prove he is an independent "journalist."

Scarborough is the same thing from the other direction. he occasionally beats up on his fellow conservatives, just to show how "nonpartisan" he is.

15. Joey's Covering His Ass...
While others here think Joey gave up his House seat cause of Lori Klautis, I've always sensed he was not a very happy camper in the Rovian/DeLay Repugnican Party.

I see him like J.C. Watts...more idealistic than into the hardball politics and that he couldn't square his own beliefs with those of the powers that be. I firmly believe this is why he also stayed out of the Senate races despite several efforts to recruit him. He's biding his time...and he may have played his cards smart.

One tip off to me that Joey's not your typical kool-aid drinker is he's one hell of a good guitarist and appears to like lots of blues. You can't enjoy this music without having a little bit of compassion.

As far as him "seeing the light"...Joey's had these moments before. he was critical of meeester boosh at some critical points last year. He panned the first debate...and he also was critical of his recent speeches...but always comes back to the reservation when he gets too much static.

A lot of what we're seeing is the big disconnect between what goes on in the real world and the cosmetic studios of the networks in Washington, Atlanta and New York. The story takes on a whole different perspective when you're surrounded by the devestation and misery as opposed to a nice tidy studio where you go home to your nicely stirred martini.

When the story focused in the Gulf and New Orleans, we have seen some great reporting and the best journalism in recent memory. When it shifts back to the studio, it returns to the beltway bubble-world of spin and the disconnect with reality.
