It caught me totally by surprise, as I'd known her for years and we'd been casual friends via work for a while. She's a very caring and human-rights oriented person working in the human services field so I just presumed she was a Democrat. Of course you know what they say about assuming ;-). A few weeks ago we ran into each other and I mentioned that I was going to the protest march. She said "Oh, don't talk to me about that--I like President Bush!". I didn't even know what to say for a moment I was so stunned. :o

But ultimately, it's just one guy. They can afford to sacrifice one guy. Corporatism is a movement of many individuals with vast amounts of power. DeLay was reckless and allowed his greed to get the better of him. While greed is the hallmark of corporatism, there are those who are more cerebral as opposed to impulsive like DeLay. Those guys are infinitely harder to bust because they change the laws so that they can't break the laws whenever they do whatever it is that harms the interests of ordinary people.

remember that all this dirt is not new. the mass of House Goopers stood behind DeLay, defended him, (most took money from him to). Add to this Frist's problems, Bush's incompetence and Rove's troubles and soon America will see that it is all rotten.

And if you don't think that's indicative of my happiness at seeing him indicted...I live just north of Houston, Tx. Although we had our electricity restored on Sunday afternoon, because of rolling blackouts, we were without power from about 1:30 PM to around 10 PM. The temperature was hovering at 100. In spite of the misery, the thought of DeLay being indicted gave me much happiness.

19. Me. I lisgtened to Mark Levine on WABC here in NY and

it made me laugh even louder. The guy was so mad it was not even funny. He was making fun of every Dem he could name and was so angry and bitter. The angrier he got, the more I laughed. We have really wounded the Rep party this time and I was walking on air all day yesterday.

I salavate to see Delay in every single house campaign ad for the 06 elections. And imagine if he actually gets convicted and has to do a real perp walk? What great imagery that will be! :)
