Will displaced storm victims be able to vote absentee?

This could apply to any displaced person from any disaster but the Katrina victims from New Orleans is the specific case I am wondering about.

Shouldn't these relocated people be allowed to vote by absentee ballot until the area is rebuilt or they decide to settle permanently elsewhere?

Does anyone know what state law provides in this case?

They have "chosen" to stay in their new "homelands", and they'll all be too busy anyway..what with trying to find out whatever happened to Grandma & a few of their grown kids..and how to come up with enough money to "find their way back home"..:sarcasm:
