Republicans don't play fair, and its NOT fair
Bush has not been held accountable for ANY of his misconduct and lies. Its as if all criticisms and facts roll off of Bush/ Arnold like rain glides off a good umbrella. Like Al Sharpton said, it started with the Florida recount, then it went on to the redistricting in Texas, and now the California recall. Republicans openly reject the constitution. Nobody seems to notice. I feel defeated and frustrated. I'm thinking about joining my friends in their blissful ignorance of politics.

1. Don't disengage -- that's playing into their hands
If there's anything we DU'ers should be able to agree on, it's that the Pubbie strategy has been to depress political participation on the left and center-left.

If you just plug out, some pig from Orange County will be doing your voting for you.

2. 2004.............
will signal the end of the Repuke era. This is to be their high water mark. They have totally fucked up the country and people realize that fact. California is an abberation. Do not stop fighting these bastards, that's just what they want, no opposition. Their Waterloo will be the 2004 elections, the pendulum will indeed start swinging in the other direction. Count on it.

4. I've shared your enthusiasm for the past 3 years
Every time a Bush lie surfaces, we all think it will mark the end of Bush and his legacy of lies. Thats 3 years of getting my hopes up for no reason. Thanks for your encouragement but I don't think I can get my hopes up this time.
