6. How the hell do we know? |
|
"Do you think John Roberts will be a good Chief Justice?" That's answerable. I know what I think.
"Will John Roberts be a good Chief Justice?" I have my thoughts, but I can't answer that conclusively.

I wanted a "I sincerely hope so" option, or at least one that defined "good".

8. Okay, I voted, but this seems like a sloppy question. |
|
Define "good." Good according to whom and by what criteria? Perhaps a better question would ask if he will be impartial.

15. Of course not - look who the hell picked him |
|
I wouldn't trust * to get me a sandwich and a cup of coffee from the corner deli - I'm supposed to expect that his choice of Chief Justice isn't going to be just god-awful? I man look at his track record.
I look at Roberts and I see somebody that will prove to be a little man in over his head as he is forced to make decisions on issues his masters never thought would be before the court.

|
some hope he might surprise us, such as Souter did. Chances are not likely, but we will see.
