Ideals
We keep getting told its unreasonable to stand up for our ideals. We have to do what is politically expedient. Its politics. The real world. And our ideals get set aside.

No wonder the Dems are taking a beating. The right runs on their ideals and when the left tries to run on theirs they get challenged as being ideologes. And they cower and avoid the label.

People come to know someone based on the ideals they stand up for. Whether they agree with the ideals or not they can feel as though they know and can trust the person to be true to their ideals. It is in this way that many people explain their votes for the right despite not agreeing with their issues.

But because the Dems have been playing at compromise and trying to gain the middle they have not been championing their ideas as they should have. Few people can say what the Dems stand for. They need to see them standing for ideals to know who they are.

1. as long as it takes money to get elected
it will always be this way. Ralph Nader usually represents liberal Amerika's ideals, but has no money.
