...by the Pentagon, does that mean that if an organization, and specifically I mean a news organization, comes across more photographs that they may publish or distribute freely those photographs?
The judge's decisions seem pretty far-reaching in their implications. I know that the Washington Post has revealed that they have received copies of these photographs and possibly others. Their reluctance, in my layman's mind, is that if they released the pictures before a final ruling was given that they could face an injunction or penalities of some sort.
So, does this mean that when the government eventually ponies up the pics and videos that it will open floodgates for other entities in posession of photographs of this nature to publish and distribute them?
If there are any actual lawyers here their responses would be most appreciated but any opinions on the matter are welcome!
