Is anybody listening to KGO in SF right now?

I would love to hear what Bernie Ward or Ray Taliaferro have to say about this.

I tried to download that streaming audio system they have but it kind of sucks. It won't download properly on my computer. I wished they would have kept the RealNetworks system they had before.


What has Bernie and Ray been saying about this?

the repuke is smirking on the phone at Bernie-definitely a total wuss.
The caller is "giggling".

17. Their specific player sucks..

For two months now I haven't been able to listen to KGO. I've turned off anti-virus, lowered security, followed all suggestions and nothing simple seems to work. I'm beginning to wonder if one of the microsoft updates did something. And you can't undo those without redoing your hard drive if you are not a computer whiz.

I can listen to Malloy or anyone else who uses only Windows Media Player or Real Player--but when it is one of those players like KGO uses or Randi Rhodes uses--they no longer work. It is so damn frustrating.

I wish they would have left it where we could use our choice of media players.

19. Yeah. It sucks!

I remember when they had the RealPlayer and that worked fine. I tried to contact the Audiostream people about the problem and they were no help at all. They referred me to the KGO website but their troubleshooting page was the same damn thing as on the Audiostream site! I may contact KGO tmrw.

As for Randi Rhodes and Mike Malloy, I have no problem picking up their shows. It's just KGO. The only thing the system does is just says "opening" and that's it. I lowered my firewall and everything but I am still getting nothing.

27. when it happens to me that the kgo audio won't activate....

i open real player and as soon as i get anything to play on real player, the kgo audio turns on. i found this workaround by accident. hope it helps you.

they do go to dead air when they have station breaks and commercials. but they play some guitar chords every once in a while.

See if that works.

disable ad blocking and popups. That worked for me anyway.
