Molly Ivins just made an interesting point on Hardball show...
She was saying how difficult it was to prove "conspiracy" and that the prosecutor in the Delay case had already been burned once with the Kaye Bailey Hutchison case and he wouldn't be quick to try that again unless... unless he had put the squeeze on another witness to testify against Delay...Very interesting point.

2. That's the key - getting another to testify against the Hammer.
Bye, Tom.

3. Delay is screwed, his 'friends' will rat him out faster than he can
lie on TV. That doesn't mean he will go to jail, I hope Frist follows him.

8. And RoachBoy has fewer friends in Congress than he thinks.

Remember that back in April, he put out the word that any Repub who didn't support him in his time of need would not get campaign financing, which I'm sure thrilled Rove and Cheney to no end. I think he's really going to regret not taking their advice to jump before he was pushed.

4. I heard that from more than one place.
Tweety also asked DeLays atty what if one of the other witnesses fliped. Of course his atty said that couldn't happen because Tommy did no wrong, but I know from past history, these guys are never willing to go down alone! Let's HOPE!

5. She's correct
Ronnie Earle wouldn't have pursued this if he didn't feel he had a solid case. Someone has been talking and they've been talking about DeLay, is what I speculate.

pretty much the same thing--the prosecutor's record isn't exactly stellar, so there is no way he'd be purusing this unless it was "a slam dunk." On the other hand, if Earle is relying on a flipped witness, what's to stop him or her from flipping back?

7. Full deposition, under oath, video recorded and perhaps even ...
... done in front of the Grand Jury. Remember it's the Grand Jury who indicted DeLay, not DA Earle.

Peace.

12. That came to my mind immediately.
Just two weeks ago Earle said he didn't have enough evidence to indict DeLay. And then yesterday, BAMMM. Figured that someone must have flipped and testified to the Grand Jury.

I heard a member of the Grand Jury last night say that he LIKED Tom DeLay, but that the law was the law.
